I reserved two units through Sparefoot and confirmed with MMJ directly on the phone the day before my move. The person was pleasant. Driving up, I decided to call again to let them know I was on my way. My husband and I were treated in an extremely rude and condescending manner by a different rep, who for now, I will leave unnamed. After speaking to us insultingly, telling us we had no reservations with them, interrogating us on our past renting experience, not wanting to contact the owner, telling us that "She can't move mountains," because there were "no units available, he said he didn't know when she might be available. After all that, he called back saying the owner found the confirmation number I gave him originally and that a unit was available and that others would be available a few days thereafter. I guess she could "move mountains" after all. No acknowledgment of his error, nor any apology for the treatment we received. When we arrived to find the unit dirty and unswept. The experience was disappointing and left us in a bad position forced to have a house full of boxes and little room to move freely. It was not altogether negative. We appreciate the reasonable monthly price and that the rep finally called the owner. But the state of the unit makes us hesitant to trust the quality of another unit or the way we may be treated going forward. We hope you have a better experience.
