Indiana - Best known as the location of the Indianapolis Indy 500, and as the setting for the 1986 sports film “Hoosiers,” Indiana has plenty of non-sports related entertainment to attract tourists. The troublesome pool halls, sung about in the Broadway show “The Music Man,” have been replaced by the Majestic Star Casino in Gary, Indiana. The state’s Amish country offers visitors shopping for antiques and handmade crafts at the Shipshewana Flea Market and buggy rides around the historic farmsteads. Up in the Northern Indiana Lakes Country, near Angola and Fort Wayne, anglers fill self storage units with fishing gear for catching bass in the smaller lakes, while water sports enthusiasts utilize storage facilities for high-speed boats, water skis and canoes. South of Bloomington, in Indiana’s Hill Country, snow skiers store their equipment in mini storage facilities after hitting the ski runs at Paoli Peaks and Perfect North Slopes. The Hoosiers of Indiana have access to hundreds of self storage facilities throughout the state.
